Who we are

We built RebelBuilt because we needed it ourselves.

RebelBuilt is built by a family that has spent decades running real, hands-on businesses — and living the exact headache we're now here to fix.

For twenty years, we ran a hands-on low-voltage business — wiring buildings, running the trucks, doing the work and keeping the books.

We started working in our garage in 2006 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, tripping over our five sons' bikes, meeting our techs in our driveway to stage equipment for the upcoming week of work. We had to scramble when a supplier needed a commercial address to ship our hardware to. So then we tried a posh coworking office. That was fun — explaining to the receptionist how she would have to receive 5,000 feet of cable, and assuring her that we would be there to pick it up so the CPA's clients wouldn't be hurdling over the boxes on their way to get their taxes done.

When we relocated to Angel Fire, New Mexico, we did start in a small office and eventually moved into an appropriate space for our retail showroom location and the shipping and receiving of our significant inventory. I had some experience previously as a commercial real estate tenant when I had a retail boutique in Omaha, Nebraska, but all of those years later it didn't get any easier. Commercial brokers like to deal with large clients and prefer to wheel and deal in Class A space. Leases come with long commitments, personal guarantees, and shockingly high expenses, especially over the last handful of years of inflation and skyrocketing insurance costs.

We relocated to the Denver area in 2019 and continued to struggle with finding the right kind of space for our business without pledging our firstborn son as collateral (who wouldn't agree to the pledge anyway, as a grown man with his own concerns!).

RebelBuilt is the platform we wish we'd had: real work-ready space matched to what you actually do, on terms that fit, with the business backbone — insurance, payments, a network, and support — that helps a small operation grow into a bigger one. We don't just hand you a key and walk away. We stay in it with you.

In this new age of AI, we believe the most important workers won't be the superbots — they'll be the real people, getting real work done. That's us. That's you.

Danielle Goodnight

Founder

Danielle has been an entrepreneur since she was five, selling crafts off the front porch to her best customer, her grandpa. By day she's Controller and Special Projects Director at a Denver commercial real estate investment group; for two decades she also co-ran Goodnight Electronics and Hosted Hospitality, the company she and Steve built doing satellite communications, IT work, cable and fiber internet, and WiFi systems for MDUs and hospitality properties. She thinks in systems, economics, and real estate, and she's building RebelBuilt as a legacy for her whole family.

Joe Goodnight

Colorado Operations Manager

Joe is Danielle and Steve's son and RebelBuilt's boots on the ground. He grew up watching his parents provide for their family with grit and hard work. He inherited that work ethic and went to work at a little local bakery as a busboy at 14, and has been working ever since. A recent business graduate helping build the company from the very first space, he runs the Colorado operation day to day — the outreach, the ads, and the hands-on work of getting operators into space. He's the next generation of the family venture, and the blueprint for how RebelBuilt grows into new markets.

Steve Goodnight

Technology & Build-Out

Steve is Danielle's husband and her business partner of twenty years. He is the technical half of Goodnight Electronics and Hosted Hospitality, now moved on from the northern New Mexico mountains and helping with the tech needs of RebelBuilt. He has an Electronics Engineering degree from the University of Nebraska (go Big Red!) and, prior to the family venture, worked as an engineer — building machines and heading up installations in the gaming industry. He brings that same hands-on, build-it-right instinct to the infrastructure behind RebelBuilt's spaces.

RebelBuilt has officially launched in the Denver metro, but it's built for far more than that — a national network for the independent operators, tradespeople, and small-business builders who make things happen. It's also a community: Rebels & Founders, where our people connect, online and in person. We're the overlooked, the underestimated, the doers. This is built for us.
